Mixed Australian hardwoods harvested from NSW state forest on the Coffs Coast, selected for the durability class the job needs. Ask the office which species is available for your order.
What is rough-sawn timber?
Rough-sawn timber comes straight off the saw with a textured surface and full nominal size. Milled or dressed timber has been planed smooth to a finished size. Williams Timber supplies both.
What is the difference between hardwood and treated pine?
Hardwood is naturally denser, stronger and more durable, which is why poles, piles, girders and bridge timber are hardwood. Treated pine is a softwood that relies on treatment for durability. Williams Timber supplies hardwood only.

Is CCA treated timber safe to use?
CCA treated timber is approved in Australia for poles, piles, fencing, landscaping and structural uses. It is not permitted for some domestic uses such as playground equipment and picnic tables. The office will advise the right treatment for your job.
What hazard levels do you treat to?
Above-ground and in-ground hazard levels, including the higher levels used for poles, piles and marine work. Tell the office where the timber is going and it is treated to suit.
