A career in timber does not come to mind for many young people. It should. The work is outdoors and in the mill, the product you make goes into bridges, power lines and homes that outlast you, and the skills cannot be sent offshore. Andrew Williams, who runs the business, puts it simply: taking something so raw and turning it into something beautiful that is used in so many ways is quite special.
