Bridge timber

Hardwood girders, corbels and bridge decking, sawn to specification for road and rail structures.

Williams Timber supplied bridge girders and decking to the Coffs Coast from the Jetty yard in the 1960s and still cuts them at Wears Road today. Girders are sawn from durability class 1 and 2 hardwood, graded and cut to the span and section the engineer specifies, and can be CCA treated for in-ground or wet-service use.

  • Bridge decking planks, rough sawn or dressed

Questions

Do you work from engineer's drawings?

Yes. Send the drawing or schedule with the enquiry and the mill cuts to it.

Can you match timber in an existing heritage bridge?

Usually. Tell the office the species and section and the mill will advise what is available.
